Streek GR
The GR for Haspengouw is a circular, 182 km long-distance route through Haspengouw’s river valleys, past castles and monumental farmhouses, farming villages and countless hidden natural treasures. From the plateaus you can enjoy the sweeping landscape – sometimes you can see as far as Liege. It’s easy to put together your own route, as various routes cross each other at specific junctions. These routes are marked with yellow-red stripes.
GR
The Grote Routepaden are long-distance walks in Europe. Just follow the white-red signs. The city edition of the GR-128 also called the Flanders Route takes you through Tongeren. For more information on GR routes go to www.groteroutepaden.be.
